TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
Environment has an important role in our life and it is one of the important global issues that we have in Earth. Earth is our home and we need to look after it!
This is the project that I was involved in as part of the PYP (Primary Years Program) exhibition when I was in fifth grade. It has an important impact in my personal development and I used it on multiple occasions for people’s awareness.
PYP exhibition let us, fifth graders, work on global issues and take actions with guided learning to combat. My project issue was based on the problem of environmental pollution. I presented my project by directing a video and explaining positive effects of reducing, reusing and recycling. Further, I explained turning garbage to clean energy with taking Turkey ITC waste management initiatives to turn the garbage to electricity and compost.
I used multiple resources to put this video together. You can see the references below. Again, I would like to thank ITC management on supporting me on this project during that time.
I hope you will enjoy it! Click on the picture above to watch the video and please share with others to expand awareness of the message!

Story of DNA-Infographic
Deoxyribonucleic Acid or DNA is the molecule of heredity, the sum of all biological processes by which particular characteristics are transmitted from parents to their offspring (https://www.britannica.com/science/heredity-genetics) , and contains the blueprint of life. I took biology honor class when I was in grade 9 and one of the project was creating a infographic for DNA. There were multiple criterias on the grading rubric and additionally I added my creativity to make it a fun experience to learn. I used story board to make part of it like a transforming information into coherent vision like a part of the film and pictochart to create the infographic. I made my own, my friends and my teacher avatars and I am the story teller in this infographic. It was really a fun making! I hope you will like it too. Earthquake Resistance Building Design Challenge
I took general engineering course called, “Engineer Your World” when I was grade 9. This is a course given by my high school and it is developed by the collaboration of NASA (The National Aeronautics and Space Administration) & The University of Texas at Austin. During this course, I learned about what is engineering and how it impacts society. Through over different projects I came up design solutions to complex challenges using a process. I had been one of the youngest student in the class. At beginning, I felt that I may not able to catch up with higher graders but I took it as a challenge and I tried to enjoy learning instead of having frustration. This project was a team effort and I had really fun working with my classmates……..
IB Assembly Solo Project
Music has been always a part of my life since 6th grade. I study IB music in 11th grade which gives me more opportunities to learn about different cultures’ music. I was assigned a project to perform a solo music and I selected a classical song named, “To a Wild Rose” by Edward MacDowell. This project was very enjoyable because it tested my pitches and ranges abilities and at the same time it was giving me a soothing feeling. You may be able to tell that I’m in a zoom call when performing, this was due to covid. My classmates and I had to perform through zoom but it all worked out perfectly. Still room to improve and grow, enjoy listening it 🙂

WE MADE IT TOGETHER!!! THANK YOU!
This is a very special responsibility project that I run for my own community. The problem was not fun but process that I went through was very enjoyable. It showed me that if people want can come together and make a difference! This post to say thank you to supporters for the donation of 2200 sapling to the TEMA (The Turkish Foundation for Combating Soil Erosion) “Yeniden Yeşerteceğiz” campaign for replanting trees in burnt locations to restore wildlife in beautiful country – Turkey…….
