112 wildfires have broken out this summer along the Aegean and Mediterranean coastlines. One of them being my family village Orhaniye in Marmaris. My grandfather was born and raised in this village and he was desperately looking for help like many of us!
Our country did not have enough resources to control and stop these wildfires. Thousands of people are evacuating from their houses. Thousands of trees burned, and many wildlife had been severely injured.
I started a responsibility project and with your support I donated 2200 saplings to the TEMA in Turkey (The Turkish Foundation for Combating Soil Erosion) “Yeniden Yeşerteceğiz” campaign for replanting trees in burnt locations to restore wildlife. TEMA is a non-governmental organization (NGO) for reforestation and the protection of natural habitats. Please see photo for donation certificate. Thank you again!
